XPLOR By Air brings a new perspective to environmental surveying, using aerial technology to capture clear, accurate site images quickly and safely. 

Using camera UAV (Unmanned Aerial Vehicle), we can support you in making smarter decisions from above. These are typically:

• Real estate photography - oblique and vertical aerial images, land, building and estate views, promotional images.
• Construction progress monitoring -  regular aerial photos for clients, investors, planners or project managers.
• Roof inspection -  checks on tiles, gutters, chimneys, flat roofs, leaks and storm damage. This is a much less expensive and safer alternative to scaffolding.*
• Building façade inspections - visual inspection of high or difficult-to-access walls, cladding, windows and masonry.*
• Planning and development evidence - before/after imagery, site constraints, access routes, boundary documentation.
• Pollution incident recording - documenting spills, sediment plumes, illegal tipping or visible contaminants.

You can have immediate access to the images, which we can download and send you while still on site.

*Inspection surveys should be carried out under the direction of your building surveyor or structural engineer. We provide only images, not professional advice or interpretation.

Pricing

We base our pricing on 1.5 hours in the air plus travel time and mileage (from CB3 0JP).  For example, a survey in Sawston CB22 3TJ would be £163.20 +vat.  We will provide you with a quote before proceeding.

UAV Restrictions

We cannot fly contrary to CAA regulations governing the use of camera UAV. Specifically, we will not fly inside CAA Flight Restriction Zones (FRZ).  We will let you know in advance if any affect the survey location.

Strong winds will reduce UAV camera stability and affect image quality.  We will check the forecast or call you for the local weather conditions before attending site.

Flyer ID

Our operators maintain CAA Flyer ID for the use of Class 0 UAV under 249g weight for general commercial use.
